My philosophy of healthcare is to give all I can and to be compassionate. When my son was first diagnosed with Aspergers, many nurses were not familiar with the disorder. They were not sympathetic to his needs and did not understand his ways and thoughts. That’s when I made up my mind to take care of special needs children and to be compassionate, not only with the patient, but with the parents too. The parents are just as important to the care as the patient, I know that God has a plan for me with the children that I will care for. I want them to feel wanted and know that they have a place in this world and no matter what anyone says, they are special and they have the best care that could be given.
