We all have our purpose in life and I have been lead to healthcare. My philosophy of healthcare is to accomplish what God has in store for my life, which is nurturing others back to health. In my opinion, healthcare is not just administering medication to sick patients to build their immune systems back up. Its not just doing annual checkups or fixing broken limbs or repairing/replacing a vital organ. It incorporates so much more then just treatment. It involves several aspects of psychology, such as, mental, physical, and emotional health. Healthcare isn’t just about physical support and treatment. A patients physical illness can be mended while their mental and emotional health can still be broken. Moreover, as healthcare providers, we should build relationships with our patients. Knowing that we, as healthcare providers, can be trusted and have us by their sides means much more than a treatment or a procedure. Nurses and other healthcare providers are like angels they provide patients with necessities far beyond just that of treatment. They build everlasting impressions that always bring good memories and polite images to their mind. Thus, healthcare isn’t just all about medication, lab work and results, but the long-lasting beneficial characteristics that healthcare providers should be able to bring to the table with all of their generous efforts.Updated: April 23, 2013 - 2:11pm - by Yvette Saliba
