Nursing is the ability to give without a selfish motive and to demonstrate compassion in every opportunity within the scope of practice. Compassion is my philosophy of healthcare. And to me Jesus was the perfect example of compassion. Jesus was moved by compassion, and with compassion He saved the world. My perspective of compassion also stems not only from the loss of my dad, but when September 11th happened. When my step-father passed away, I was lost and broken. And then immediately after that, came September 11th. Although my experiences left me broken, and confused, God turned that situation around and that is when He showed me my true calling. I sincerely with all my heart want to demonstrate compassion to all those who are in need.
