My philosophy of healthcare is very simple. It’s a smile when walking into your patients room. It’s a warm hand on a newly diagnosed cancer patients shoulder. Its holding the door open for your fellow healthcare worker although your running late. These positive everyday gestures, no mater how small, can manifest themselves into enormous acts of kindness. Studies have show that the recipient of a positive action will go on to preform at least 3 more selfless acts throughout their day. Often times, even to a higher degree than the initial. So, lets start small and think big. What will you do today to enrich the lives of our patients, their families, and other healthcare workers tomorrow? I say it can all start with a smile.Updated: April 23, 2013 - 2:40pm - by Yvette Saliba
