I often wonder what possessed that person to get in their car drunk, or how did this seemingly educated man become homeless, or how could this strong assertive female, be in an abusive relationship? But wondering is where it stops. That is not my path instead I choose with a gracious smile, “Hello my name is Asha. I’ll be taking care of you today. Are you in any pain or discomfort?” I don’t only hear, I listen. I read the body for when the words are lacking. Spread smiles, encourage laughter, grant dignity and respect. Once in my care, you are my family, through the good and the bad, that is my philosophy of healthcare. To love and protect and provide upmost support. This is who I am and forever will be Asha Nadaje Alexander.Updated: April 23, 2013 - 2:41pm - by Yvette Saliba
