I entered this philosophy of healthcare class a few months ago not knowing exactly what to expect. The first thing Professor McCoy discussed was getting to know the 90% of us as individuals that no one else knew. Who would have thought that showing this 90% composed of our brokenness in life, would transform me into the individual I am today. Sharing my personal stories of brokenness has put me on a spiritual path back to God and a path towards healing myself and others. This class has helped me to better understand my role as a future healthcare worker. What to expect when working under stressful situations and how to channel those stressful feelings or anger towards something beneficial to others. Analyzing my personal back story has helped me realize who I am and what God has called me to do; and that is the ministry of healing for His people. Through it all, I now understand and am comfortable sharing my personal stories and philosophy of healthcare. Giving strength to the weak and hope for the discouraged, we are working together to achieve a common goal. Promoting healthy Christ centered living through healthcare services of exceptional quality and value. Exemplifying compassion and respect towards our patients and their families.
