As I laid in bed waiting to be taken in for yet another MRI after my third seizure at only the age of ten, the nurse came in and whispered in my ear after seeing my tears, “God has it under control, no need to be nervous.” It may not have been the deepest words but as a young girl it meant a lot. Those words still resound in my ears to this very day. I pray that as a nurse God will use me to touch my patient’s lives even if I don’t realize I am doing so. May my patients see Christ through me as I do all that is in my power to cure and heal them. I know that God will place patients in my life all for a reason and purpose. I have the assurance that he will supply me with strength to not only see them as patients, but children of God.
