My Philosophy of Healthcare is to never give up on yourself and have faith and you will be a better caregiver to others because of it! As a very small child whenever anyone asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up I would say with confidence, a nurse. My MeMa (grandmother) was a nurse for over 60 years until her passing last summer. She worked during the war and towards the end of her career specialized in Hospice care. She and I are very much alike. We are compassionate, hard working and dedicated people. 18 years ago right out of High School I went off to nursing school. However, the path of life steered me in a different direction to a BS degree and a successful career in the business world. Life once again has changed courses for me. So, at 35 I am trying to redirect my career path to a stable, fulfilling job that will support my 2yr old son and I. I know that acquiring my RN license will open up opportunities and experiences that I can only imagine: to a career that will enable me to have a profound impact on the lives of others. I am thankful that I got to share with her my plans for applying to nursing school because it made her very happy. My philosophy of Healthcare is to never give up on yourself and have faith and you will be a better caregiver to others because of it! I am the living example that it's never too late to accomplish a goal and that you can never give up on a dream!
