I can see me and you creating something beautiful Start a philosophy of what we think healthcare should be It all starts with a little faith and if you throw me an egg It’s not gonna break And if we put aside our assumptions Our philosophy will serve a better function If you’re treating someone sick Doesn’t matter if they’re poor, if they’re rich Treat them as you would your brother That is unless you hate your brother I can see me and you creating something wonderful Healthcare philosophy that says man deserves whatever he needs If you listen to the words of Solomon Justice won’t be found from the judgment of a man Actually that was a paraphrase And if you check you’ll find it on my reference page If you choose to provide care Doesn’t matter what, why, when or where It’s up to you to treat the patient well Even if you think they should go to hell This is my planet and I’m the king I have a new philosophy to decree Healthcare ends with care not apathy So give your patients Every little bit of what they need Otherwise…what kind of king would I be What kind of king would I be Yea I can see me and you creating something oh so cool Brand new philosophy that’ll bring diseases to their knees Maybe that’s a little optimistic But just because you’re shooting for the moon and you missed it Doesn’t mean you’re unhappy where you are Living the good life chilling with the stars If you’re a doctor or a nurse And you’re thinking that your patient may be a curse Make sure you do your due diligence well Just may save ‘em from going to hell This is your planet and you’re the king Won’t you join our new philosophy Healthcare has no room for apathy So give your patients Every little bit of what they need If the patient can’t depend on you and me Tell me then what kind of kings would we be Out
