My philosophy of healthcare is to incorporate faith as a guideline in demonstrating optimal care to each patient. The healthcare environment is one of the best places to tell someone about the goodness of Jesus and His saving grace. I would offer each patient the gift of Christ and a new hope on life. Four years ago, my sister was admitted to the emergency room with a blood glucose level of over 1,200mg/dl. The normal range for blood glucose level is 70 to 100mg/dl. The paramedics were astonished at her level of consciousness and the fact that she was still alive. She was then diagnosed with insulin dependent diabetes mellitus. Over the years, she received numerous prayers and our family believed that God would perform a miracle according to His will for her life. Currently, my sister is not taken insulin and was completely healed of her diagnoses. Today, the doctors are still amazed at the miracle that God has performed. Ultimately, God decides the outcome of one’s illness and informing patients about Christ is the best gift gained.Updated: January 11, 2011 - 3:31pm - by Yvette Saliba
