This course is the first trimester of a two-trimester course. It surveys methods and concepts in biology, cellular biology, including biomolecular functions, metabolic pathways, principles of inheritance, along with diversity of microbiota and macrobiota. Three hours of lecture each week. This course satisfies the requirement for a major or minor in biology.
A minimum score of 19 in science reasoning on the ACT or permission of the department chair.
