MOT Program Application Checklist

The following should be submitted to ADU Enrollment Services in order to apply for the Occupational Therapy Program.

Graduate Application

Application should be completed and submitted online (www.adu.edu/apply). If you have applied previously but never attended, please contact Enrollment Services at 407-303-7742.

Application Fee

A $100 application fee must be submitted with the Graduate Application. The application fee may be paid by mailing a check to Enrollment Services or by contacting Financial Services at 407-303-1631 and paying with a credit card. Please allow 4 to 5 business days after application is submitted in order to pay application fee over the phone.

Transcripts, GRE/MAT Scores, Recommendation Forms, Career Essay, and Resume will not be processed until Graduate Application and Application Fee have been received.

Official Transcripts

Official transcripts from all regionally accredited colleges and universities are required.

Official transcripts must be mailed directly to ADU from required institutions.

International Transcripts

International Transcripts must be evaluated by one of the following companies: World Education Services (www.wes.org), Educational Credential Evaluators (www.ece.org), or AACRAO: Foreign Education Evaluations (www.aacrao.org/international.foreignEdCred.cfm).

GPA Requirement

The minimum cumulative GPA for admission is 3.00.

Recommendation Forms

PDF Three recommendations on the ADU Graduate Recommendation Form are required.

Complete the top portion and give the forms to employers, professors, academic advisors, etc., for their completion. Recommendations from friends or family members are not accepted.

GRE/MAT Scores

Official copy of a satisfactory score on the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) or the Miller Analogies Test (MAT) taken within the last 5 years. GRE or MAT scores on college transcripts are also acceptable. Official GRE/MAT score must be mailed directly to ADU.

English Proficiency

Applicants for whom English is not their primary language or who have graduated from a non-English speaking school, must demonstrate English proficiency. Refer to the Academic Bulletin for further instruction.

Career Essay

Provide an essay outlining reasons for choosing to become an occupational therapist, experiences or interactions you have had with an occupational therapist, reasons for choosing to attend a faith-based institution, and why you have specifically chosen ADU.

Resume

An updated resume is required.

  • Once admitted, a non-refundable deposit of $500.00 is required to reserve your place.
